Sai Gon is the night life and for party lover, Hanoi is for culture. But from Hanoi, you can easily take a trip to Ninh Binh, Sapa, Halong Bay and Ha Giang Loop. But if you only have 5 days, you can consider Halong Bay and Ninh Binh.

Phu Quoc island is beautiful but a bit touristy. Con Dao, Phu Quy are both Fantastic but less touristy.

1. Passengers must complete a "Health Declaration Form" before arrival. The form can be found at

- a negative COVID-19 RT-LAMP or RT-PCR test taken at most 3 days before departure; or
a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken at most 1 day before departure.
- This does not apply to passengers younger than 2 years.
3. Passengers must have medical insurance to cover COVID-19 expenses.
4. Passengers must download the "PC-Covid" app before arrival. The app can be found at www.pccovid.gov.vn
Vietnamese beaches are adequate at best. Water quality is reasonale, but the plastic problem is chronic in places. Best waters are off Con Dao Island and Phu Quoc Island.
Always prebook at least your first night somewhere. There is nothing worse than wandering around tired and having the chore of finding somewhere to stay.
You should book directly with airlines only. There are so many scam sites.
From Cat Ba, you can take a night cruise to visit Lan Ha Bay instead of Ha Long Bay. The scencery is very similar, yet Lan Ha Bay is less explored part, more quiet with much less cruises.
